Episcopal Christian Formation (ECF) Positions
Every Christian Formed
ECF Director
The Director of Episcopal Christian Formation is a parish minister who provides leadershop in the design and implementation of programs for adults, youth, and children which nutures their lifelong faith appropriation. This member of the parish staff is responsible for directing Christian formation which includes assessment of needs, planning, execution, staffing, and evaluation of programs. In collaboration with the Rector, Vestry, staff members, and persons directly involved in stewardshop of the programming, he or she integrates religious formation and education within the overall parish mission. Primarily the role includes ordering and implementing curriculum, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and nuturing educational environment, and faithfully presenting the theological Christian tradition as expressed in the Episcopal Churhc.
ECF Advisory Council
A Council established by the Vestry to consult in identifying needs, design, implementation, problem solving, and evaluation of ECF programming. The role of this Council is primarily steering, planning, and coordinating for carrying out the ministry in the short term and laying the foundation for the long term. A person from this Council serves as the Vestry liaison.
COMMITMENT: 2 years. Quarterly meetings.
ECF Stewardship Opportunities
Sundays
Children's Chapel Leader (Need 3)
COMMITMENT: Once a month in rotation from Sept - May.
Leading the children in the Liturgy of the Word during the 11:00am Eucharist.
Orientation, training, and resources provided.
Sunday School Teacher (Need 4)
COMMITMENT: Three Sundays a month from Oct - April.
From 10:15 - 10:45am.
Pre-K, 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-9th
Resources focus on Word and Stewardship
Training and resources provided.
Sunday School Classroom Assistant (Need 3)
COMMITMENT: Three Sundays a month from Oct - April.
Pre-K, 1st-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-9th

Children's Sunday Stewardship Leader (Need 2)
COMMITMENT: 1st Sunday of the month from Oct - May (Excluding January)
From 10:20 - 10:40am "20 Minutes"
Ideas and resources provided.
Coordinate Sunday School (Need 1)
COMMITMENT: Three Sundays a month from Oct - April.
From 10:00 - 11:00am
Assist with set up, lock up, supplies, and communication.
Assist with gathering attendance records.
Wednesdays
Wednesday ECF Teachers (Need 4)
COMMITMENT: 1 Semester = 10 Sessions: Fall or Spring
6:30 - 7:00pm: Ages 4-7
7:00 - 7:30pm: Ages 8-9, 10-11, 12+ (Confirmation Prep)
Training and resources provided
Wednesday ECF Classroom Assistants (Need 3)
COMMITMENT: 1 Semester = 10 Sessions: Fall or Spring
6:30 - 7:00pm: Ages 4-7
7:00 - 7:30pm: Ages 8-9, 10-11, 12+ (Confirmation Prep)

Study Room Monitor (Need 2)
COMMITMENT: Wednesday evenings
5:30 - 6:00pm Ages 8+
Or
6:30 - 6:30pm Ages 4+
Provide adult supervision for a Safe Study Room and/or possibly light tutoring for young elementary school children who need to do homework, read, or study while siblings or parents are attending Wednesday evening programs.
Coordinate Wednesday ECF (Need 1)
COMMITMENT: Wednesday evenings from Oct - April.
From 5:30 - 7:30pm
Assist with set up, lock up, supplies and communication.
Also assist with gathering attendance records
"The invitaion" to serve is based on the concept of Christian Community: By baptism we are called forth to make disciples of all nations by teaching the Good News of Jesus Christ.
